1. Visit the FCC Registration System website.

2. Click on REGISTER under "Register and Receive Your FRN."

3. Select Individual and confirm your address is within the U.S., then click CONTINUE.

4. Fill out the form and click SUBMIT to receive your FCC Registration Number (FRN).

5. Go to the FCC Universal Licensing System (ULS) website and log in using your FRN and password.

6. Click on Apply for a New License on the left-hand menu.

7. From the dropdown, select ZA – General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) and click CONTINUE.

8. Answer the felony-related questions truthfully and complete the application form.

9. Review the application summary and click CONTINUE TO CERTIFY if all information is correct.

10. Enter your name and title, then proceed to the payment section.

11. Choose a payment method, fill in the required details, and complete the payment process.

12. Wait for approximately 24–48 hours to receive an email notification that your license is ready.

13. Log in to the FCC website, navigate to the My License page, and click DOWNLOAD to obtain a copy of your GMRS license.
